Elon Musk reveals terrifying childhood incident that left mother shaken, she calls it ‘horrifying’

Elon Musk, at the age of 5, managed to escape from his house, leaving mother Maya Musk terrified.

Imagine a 5-year-old Elon Musk plotting his escape after his mother grounded him for an afternoon. He had just one single motive —- to play with his cousins, but his escape left his mother worried and terrified. The incident resurfaced when X user @astro_geek posted an old video of the billionaire discussing his childhood memory on Meta (formerly Facebook). He revealed that at the age of 5, he was grounded by his mother Maye Musk and was not allowed to go and play with his cousins who lived on the other side of the town. The owner of Space X and X (formerly Twitter) managed to get away and walked across the town for some play-time with his cousins.

I could barely read the road signs, it was a very foolish thing to do as I could have been kidnapped or run over,” he says in the video.

He added, ” But I was determined to go and play with my cousins . I basically walked across the whole city. My mom was very freaked out because just as I was going to my cousin’s house, she saw me walking on the sidewalk and she had no idea how I got there. I ran and climbed up a tree and I wouldn’t come down, so she promised she wouldn’t punish me ”

He was not punished by his mother but at the same time, he wasn’t allowed to go and play either.

Maya Musk responded on X and said she vividly remembers the incident. “I think he was five because he couldn’t read yet. We still wonder how he crossed the streets and no one tried to stop him. Horrifying.” she tweeted.One X user said, “Of course hard headed in this case means determined , independent, and confident.” Another added, “Wow since then making great decisions.” A third went on to say, “That is history. Very young, and you work very strong, boy. No wonder you don’t listen to my dear friend Elon_muskx. I don’t think you listen to anybody.”
