For those who are late to the story, “Nach Punjaban” created a stir on social media in 2022 after Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq accused Karan Johar of stealing his song for Jugjugg Jeeyo—featuring Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor. Taking it to X, Abrar had claimed that he did not sell his song to the producer-filmmaker. He also threatened the makers of legal action.

The recreated version has been crooned by Gippy Grewal, Tanishk Bagchi, Zahrah S Khan, and Romy. Following the accusations, Gippy Grewal slammed the makers and claimed that he was unaware of his voice being used in the song.
