Watch: Cat attacks lookalike stuffed toy after owner cuddles it

Cats are often seen as aloof animals that rarely show possessive emotions. Now a video that shows a ginger cat displaying possible signs of jealousy is raking in likes.

In the video, a cat owner sitting next to his ginger cat cuddles a stuffed toy that looks much like his pet. After a few moments, the man goes away. As soon as he leaves, the ginger cat pounces on the stuffed toy.

This clip was posted on Instagram by Abram Engle, who is known for making videos of his ginger cat Kurt.

So far, this video has gathered over 15 lakh likes since it was posted on June 18. Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “kurt is jealous but he dont want you to know, he has a cool reputation to keep.” Another person joked, “You cat to be kitten me right meow!😱 I hate to sound Kurt, but that stuffed animal’s presence obviously hurt his felines.”

Engle and Kurt first gained social media fame in December 2019 after Engle posted a video of his cat dancing to ‘No Idea’ by Don Toliver. With this video, Engle’s TikTok follower count jumped from 8,000 to 1 million within a day. Interestingly, Engle had adopted Kurt just a month ago in November 2019.

Since then Engle and his cat have amassed a major social media following across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
