At present, it has an average of 2,000 visitors each day.
The company took some years to restore the Opera House before it was open to the public in 2018. The restoration of the building ensured that it did not lose the original sheen of the iconic structure. The Opera House has a unique history, as it was once the venue for operas and dance performances in the 1930s under British rule. Years later the building was transformed into a movie theatre.
“Opera House feels like a larger-than-life technology hub. And, I enjoy the live music performances here,” said Priyanka, a frequent visitor at the spot. Another tech enthusiast Ashok said that he was here to “experience the latest foldables from Samsung,” and he loves the fact that he can do this “without any interference from the staff,” which isn’t the case with most stores in the country.

Over the last five years, Samsung has organised over 1,000 events at the venue. The company has also hosted several major product launches, such as the Galaxy Unpacked, on the premises.
“Samsung Opera House has completed a remarkable journey since its inauguration as a historic landmark in Bengaluru. It is today a hub of technology, innovation, art and culture for the city. Consumers, especially the Gen Z and millennials, have come to love this iconic experience store over the last five years and we will continue to bring in exciting new technology experiences for them,” said Mr. Sumit Walia, Senior Director, Samsung India.

Samsung is also looking at the Opera House as a junction between Korean innovation and Indian culture.
Samsung calls the Opera House a space for Gen Zs, Millennials, and tech enthusiasts, where entertainment and tech come together. The company recently added another attraction—Starbucks—to the venue.
During major festivities, the Samsung Opera House takes on a different look with ambient decor and atmosphere. Consumers receive additional store offers when they purchase specific products at the venue.
