realme has launched its latest flagships, the realme GT 8 Pro and the realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, officially going on sale on Tuesday. The devices are available simultaneously on realme.com, Flipkart, and retail outlets across the country.

The GT 8 Pro has at its core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a Hyper Vision+ AI processor. realme says this combination aims to deliver a dramatic leap in computing power, enabling advanced AI upscaling, high-efficiency frame generation, and smooth 144Hz gameplay without thermal drops.

The smartphone features a 2K 144Hz HyperGlow display, with a peak brightness of 7,000 nits. The display is paired with realme’s symmetric master acoustic speaker setup, a haptics engine, and a 7K ultimate VC cooling system. The GT 8 Pro debuts the first Ricoh GR Camera System ever seen on a smartphone. The setup includes GR-specific focal lengths of 28 mm and 40 mm, GR film-inspired colour profiles, Snap Focus, and a 200MP telephoto lens.

Powering the device is a large 7,000mAh battery that can be charged using a 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring extended runtime. realme says that it can exceed 20 hours of video playback or more than eight hours of continuous gaming.

The realme GT 8 Pro also has the world’s first switchable camera bump. Users can interchange between circular, square, or themed camera modules, offering personalisation. The handset is available in two colourways.

realme has also rolled out the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, created in partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team. The special edition sports the brand’s signature racing green, lime-tinted detailing, and a custom F1-inspired user interface. This variant is also available from November 25 on.

Pricing varies across platforms: the Dream Edition (16GB+512GB) will retail at Rs 79,999, while the standard GT 8 Pro starts at Rs 72,999 for the 12GB+256GB model, with promotional bank offers reducing the effective price on select platforms.
