Nikon has unveiled its latest offering in the mirrorless camera segment, the Nikon Z f. Aimed at modern-day creators, the Z f is a hybrid camera that combines the features of a full-frame sensor, the EXPEED 7 image-processing engine and top-of-the-line specifications for both video and still photography.
The Z f boasts enhanced video capabilities that allow users to capture high-quality videos with minimal equipment. The camera supports in-camera recording of 10-bit H.265/H.264 videos with N-Log/HLG support, enabling more creative post-processing options. The camera can also record up to 125 minutes of 4K UHD/60p videos, making it ideal for long-duration shooting.
Moreover, the camera can produce 4K UHD videos using 6K oversampling, resulting in higher resolution and detail. The EXPEED 7 engine also helps reduce noise in low-light situations, expanding the possibilities for shooting night scenes and indoor portraits.
Nikon also claims that the Z f delivers exceptional AF and VR performance. The camera is designed to be a blend of functionality and aesthetics, with a sleek body and a flip-out LCD monitor that can be rotated to various angles.
Along with the Z f, Nikon India also announced two new lenses in the NIKKOR Z S-Line series, which are compatible with the Z f. The first one is the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S, a super-telephoto prime lens that is optimized for wildlife, sports and action photography. The lens offers impressive focal length and optical performance, along with vibration reduction and weather sealing.
The second one is the NIKKOR Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena, a compact prime lens that delivers an amazing visual experience, high reliability and exceptional optical performance. The lens is suitable for portrait, wedding and fashion photography, as well as video production.
The Nikon Z f camera body will be available from 12th October 2023 at Rs 1,76,995 across India at Nikon outlets.
