The United Kingdom finally voted to leave the European Union after being a part of the group for decades. In a historic referendum held on Thursday, over 51 per cent of the British decided to leave the European Union.

What will happen if Britain leave the European Union? According to Google, a lot of voters weren’t really sure about it.

According to Google Trends, the search for “what happens if we leave the EU” saw an increase of 250 per cent around midnight British time. The surge in search was noticed two hours after the referendum closed.

While Britain has decided to leave EU, Google Trends do indicate that many in Britain were not really aware of the whole subject.
