Arc Search gets ‘Call Arc’, a new feature that lets you ask questions on a phone call

The Browser Company has introduced a new feature for the iPhone only Arc Search called "Call Arc" that lets you ask questions and get answers by putting your phone to the ear.

The Browser Company, the company behind the Arc browser, is adding a new feature to the recently released Arc Search, an iPhone-only app. Dubbed ‘Call Arc’, the new AI-powered feature lets users make a phone call to get answers to their search queries.

While the app already offers voice search functionality, the company says Call Arc is a new, fun way to get answers to your questions. To use the new feature, open Arc Search on your phone and hold it up near your ear like you are on a phone call and the app will quickly reply to your questions.

When you use the Call Arc feature, the company says it will take some time to search for the answer. While you are waiting, it will play some music. Similar to normal voice calls, the Call Arc interface has an end call button, a speaker button and an animated smiley face with a mouth that moves as it answers your questions.

Launched in January this year, Arc Search is an iPhone-only app that tries to redefine the internet browsing experience by generating and showing a web page from scratch with customised search results. Users can type in a query in the search bar and the browser will use AI to read several web pages and display the results on a new webpage with different sections that depend on the search query.

Earlier this month, The Browser Company announced that Arc browser is now available for download on Windows 11 and will soon be coming to Windows 10.
