This revelation comes courtesy of the renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who took to the social media platform X to share his insights.
According to Kuo’s post, Apple’s foldable product roadmap is currently centered around this colossal 20.3-inch MacBook, which is expected to enter mass production in roughly three years. Specific details about the device’s design remain shrouded in mystery, though.
Kuo’s prediction aligns with previous whispers from within the tech sphere, as display industry analyst Ross Young and The Elec have also hinted at the possibility of a 20-inch foldable MacBook in Apple’s pipeline. However, Ross Young had hinted at a 20.5-inch laptop.

Currently, the largest laptop offering from Apple is the 16-inch MacBook Pro, making this rumored foldable a substantial leap forward in terms of screen real estate.
Interestingly, Kuo’s statement suggests that Apple’s foldable ambitions are currently focused solely on this expansive MacBook, potentially implying that foldable iPhones or iPads may not be on the immediate horizon.
While Apple remains tight-lipped about its plans for foldable products, the company’s biggest rivals, Samsung and Google, have already made significant strides in this space. Samsung has released five generations of its clamshell and book-style foldable phones, while Google unveiled the Pixel Fold last year, with rumors of a second-generation device in the works.
