OnePlus Pad 2 might launch in the second half of 2024

OnePlus might launch the second-generation tablet, OnePlus Pad 2, in the second half of 2024.

It’s been more than a year since OnePlus announced its first tablet and the company will announce the OnePlus Pad 2 in the second half of 2024, possibly with upgraded hardware and improved design language, suggests Max Jumbor, a prominent leakster. OnePlus entered the tablet market with the launch of the OnePlus Pad back in February 2023, followed by the launch of an affordable OnePlus Pad Go (review).

It is said that OnePlus might follow an 18-month launch cycle for devices like tablets, which are used for much longer, especially when compared to smartphones. Not just that, it is also speculated that the OnePlus Pad 2 might be accompanied by an affordable OnePlus Pad Go 2.

The leaks do not mention any other details about OnePlus’s third tablet. The original OnePlus Pad (review) was a premium-looking device, and we can expect a similar design with the upcoming product, possibly with an internal hardware upgrade. On top of that, it might also come with new accessories, including a new keyboard folio case.

The OnePlus Pad is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, and we could expect similar variants for the OnePlus Pad 2, possibly with a new chip from either MediaTek or Qualcomm. Considering the Pad 2 will be an upgrade over its predecessor, we can expect to see a flagship MediaTek 9000 series or Qualcomm 8-gen series processor on the OnePlus Pad 2.

The tablet is also expected to run on the latest version of OxygenOS, optimized for the tablet form factor, and it is also expected to offer AI features like AI Eraser.
