The Nokia Lumia 920 stood out from the crowd with its Fabula design. HMD, the licensee of Nokia branding, seems to be in a plan to reintroduce the iconic design with a new Android smartphone, a leak by smashx_60 on X hinted.

HMD’s upcoming smartphone dubbed Tomcat could re-introduce the Fabula design featuring complex shapes within clear lines. It is said to be a mid-tier smartphone, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The smartphone is said to include an AMOLED screen, also known as “PureDisplay”, with a 120Hz refresh rate with HDR10+ support. The smartphone is likely to be available in multiple colour options including pink, green, blue, yellow, and more.

At the rear, the HMD Tomcat is reported to include a triple camera setup with a 108 MP primary camera, a low-resolution ultra-wide angle lens, and a depth sensor. Besides, the smartphone is also said to offer a 32 MP selfie camera. Considering the capabilities of the chip, the device is likely to support up to 4K resolution video recording.

The leak also indicated that the phone will be IP67 rated for water and dust resistance, and the device is said to offer a stereo speaker setup with OZO Playback. It might even include a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The device will ship with Android 14 OS. It will pack a decent 4,900 mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging. Expected to launch in July, the HMD Tomcat might just be the right smartphone for those who have been loyal fans of the long-lost Lumia smartphone series. Considering the feature set, the device might cost around Rs 30,000.
