China's Letv says it sold over half a million units of its Le 1S on e-commerce sites, all in over one hour. Letv recently announced that it plans to enter the Indian market by 2016. Letv said that its second generation Le 1S sold over 550,000 units, across Chinese portals like Lemall.com and JD.com (China's biggest direct sale platform). Letv also recently launched its new Superphone (2nd gen) on October 27. The company says pre-bookings for the Superphone 2 have already crossed 11 million in over a week. [related-post] Letv Superphone (2nd gen) comes in a full metal body, and runs the Octa-core Helio X10 Turbo processor. It has 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, fingerprint recognition and Type-C fast charging technology. Letv claims the Superphone 2 gives users over 3.5 hours of battery life with just five minutes of charge. Letv which entered the smartphone business this April, claims to have a market share of 5.8 per cent in China already. Just like Xiaomi, Letv is not restricted to smartphones but also has devices like TVs, headphones, Bluetooth speakers and stakes in transportation, film and entertainment.
