The Last of Us is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated video games of 2023. Originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2013, Sony remastered the title for the PlayStation 5 in September last year. If you have already watched the TV series and are looking forward to playing the PC version of the game, here’s everything you need to know.

What’s new in the Last of Us PC version?

According to the Steam page of The Last of Us, the PC version of the game will be available to download and install on March 28, 2023. The post-apocalyptic action-adventure game improves on several aspects like facial animations and visuals, and enemy AI, and introduces several new accessibility options. Some characters like Joel and Ellie look significantly different compared to the original version of the game.

The PC version of the game will also let gamers play a new DLC called Left Behind, which focuses on Ellie’s story and is a sort of prequel to the game.

The Last of Us: PC system requirements

In order to run the PC version of The Last of Us at 720p resolution at 30fps at low preset settings, you will need an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i7-4770K whereas the minimum GPU requirements are set to AMD Radeon 470 (4GB) or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti (4GB). Also, developers suggest that you should have at least 100GB of free SSD storage, 16GB of RAM and a system that runs on the 64-bit version of Windows 10 Version 1909 or higher.

Those who want to run the game on 1080p at 60fps on high preset need to have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i-8700 and have an AMD Radeon 5800XT or Nvidia 2070 Super GPU.

Where can I buy The Last of Us?

The game is currently available for pre-order on both Epic Games Store and Steam. Those who purchase the game before launch will receive bonus supplements that can be used to increase certain attributes like max health, crafting speed and more along with weapon parts which are helpful to upgrade weapons. The game is currently available for pre-order on Steamb for Rs 3,999 whereas the Digital Deluxe edition which comes with a DLC can be purchased for Rs 4,799.
