Forza Horizon 5 is coming to the PlayStation 5: Here’s everything you need to know

The gaming studio is also bringing the Hot Wheel and Rally Adventure expansions, which players will have to purchase separately.

Set in Mexico, the open-world racing game will feature cross-play support, meaning players will be able to compete against one another irrespective of whether they are on PlayStation, PC or Xbox. Compared to Forza Motorsport, the popular racing simulator, Forza Horizon 5 builds on its predecessor and takes a more arcade-y approach.

Like the PC and Xbox versions of the game, players will be able to customise their cars, access various Horizon festival events and indulge in character customisation.

Playground Games, the gaming studio owned by Xbox Game Studios is also gearing up to launch a new content update dubbed Horizon Realms, which it says will “players the chance to explore a curated collection of some of the community’s favourite previously released Evolvving Worlds, alongside other surprises.”

Apart from Forza Horizon 5, some other Xbox-exclusive titles like ‘Sea of Thieves’ and ‘Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’ will also be coming to the PlayStation 5.

While the developers are yet to unveil the exact release date, it is expected that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 5 sometime between March and May.
