Israel based artificial intelligence startup D-ID recently introduced a new video translation tool that can help you translate videos in different languages. Dubbed ‘Video Translate’, the new tool can also clone the speaker’s voice and even sync their lip movements to match the language the video is translated to.

D-ID says that the new tool is available to existing subscribers for free and that creators can now use it to “effortlessly produce multilingual videos that resonate with viewers worldwide.” The company also said that the new tool is beneficial for creators engaged in “large scale campaigns aiming to make a global impact swiftly and effectively.”

The company says the new tool supports videos that are up to 5 minutes in length and whose file size is under 2GB. Also, the feature will work when there is a single person in the frame facing the camera.

The new Video Translate tool can also be beneficial in the education sector, allowing teachers to translate courses in multiple languages. It can also help corporations solve localisation issues and save some money in the long run.

While there are a handful of video translation tools available on the market, one of the major hiccups for mass adoption is that they mostly cater to large organisations or creators. Similar to D-ID, companies like ElevenLabs, Speechify, Captions.ai and more also offer voice clong and AI translation services.

D-ID’s new Video Translation tool is currently available in D-ID Studio and subscribers can try it for a month without incurring any additional cost.
