For the Gujarat Titans with the ball, it was Mohammed Siraj, who ended with figures of 3 for 19 against his former team. Siraj’s scalps on the night included the dangerous Phil Salt, who he dismissed right after the batter had hit him for a monstrous six.
Siraj was instrumental in restricting RCB to just 169 runs batting first. Then, with the bat, it was Sai Sudarshan (49) and England’s Jos Buttler, who scored an unbeaten 73 off 39 balls, that helped the Gujarat Titans hand Royal Challengers Bengaluru a defeat in their first home game of the season.

Thanks to the result, RCB and GT find themselves on third and fourth spot respectively on the IPL 2025 points table with two wins and a loss in three games. RCB are only ahead because of a superior NRR of +1.149 while Gujarat’s NRR is +0.807. After losing their first game of IPL 2025, this is GT’s second win in three games.
Gujarat Titans travel to Hyderabad next where they play against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.
