Bangalore, who are high on confidence after eking out a seven-run win over the then table toppers Rajasthan Royals, will look to shrug off the overdependence on its top three batters when they take on the Knights.
RCB’s recent wins have come on the back of sensational performers by a few players. Du Plessis has been in sublime form and has raised several century-stands with Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell.
Kohli, in particular looks set for the upcoming challenge, and this was evident in the net session which he had before the game.
The former India captain had an intense duel with teammate and pacer Mohammed Siraj.
It began with Siraj beating Kohli twice. However, Kohli nodded his head and then went berserk at Siraj.
Some of the shots he played, left the bowler in awe, that included a lofted drive.
At the end, it seemed even Siraj acknowledged that he was after all, bowling to one of the greats of the game.
