PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has insisted that the club will do everything to keep Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Both Messi and Kylian Mbappe are approaching important contractual junctures. The Argentine legend’s contract will come to an end after this season, while Mbappe is approaching the final twelve months of his deal.

Al-Khelaifi has vowed the club will not make mistakes as they attempt to secure new contracts for their superstars.

“We are lucky to have some of the best players in the world, who wanted to play for PSG despite receiving offers from other clubs,” Al-Khelaifi told Marca.

“We are working to keep them going. We are going to analyze what we are doing and make sure we can continue with them; we want to do things accordingly. We are not going to make mistakes.”

The Qatari businessman insisted winning Ligue 1 is the team’s main priority after being knocked out of the Champions League and French Cup.

Despite their mixed form in 2023, PSG remain at the top of Ligue 1 as they look to secure their eighth league title of the last decade.
