ISL 2017: When is opening ceremony, who will perform, live streaming and more

Salman Khan will enter the stadium on a bicycle and will perform on some of his most memorable songs.

The much-awaited ISL tournament is all set to return for its fourth edition on Thursday with defending Champions Atletico De Kolkata taking on last year’s runners-up Kerala Blasters. But for fans, there is much more excitement in store. The grand opening ceremony before the start of the match which will feature Tiger Zinda Hai stars Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan.

According to a press release, the gates to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi will open at 3:30 pm. The opening ceremony is expected to start by 6:30 pm, but will be aired on television from 7:15 pm.

Khan will enter the stadium riding on a bicycle, and will later perform on some of his most memorable songs. His leading lady Katrina Kaif will perform by his side on the occasion. Apart from Khan and Kaif, over 350 artists are set to perform for the ISL 2017 opening ceremony.

The much-awaited season opener between two of the most fierce rivals in ISL, Kerala and ATK, will kick-off at 8 pm. In a repeat of last year’s final, Blasters will look to stage an upset by defeating ATK. The home turf advantage to Blasters, along with a pumped-up squad will further pose an advantage for the Men in Yellow.
