UP says ‘precautionary’ steps taken for Maya’s security

The Uttar Pradesh government said 'precautionary' steps are being taken to ensure foolproof security to Chief Minister Mayawati.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday said “precautionary” steps are being taken to ensure foolproof security to Chief Minister Mayawati.

The measures are taken up in view of security related inputs,a home department spokesman said here.

The security arrangements are reviewed periodically and the inputs provided by different agencies are taken into consideration,he said,but did not elaborate on the nature of “precautionary” steps and “security inputs”.

The strategy for security is worked out as per requirement,he said.

To a question on media reports that CM’s residence would be made bullet proof,he said he had no information about it.
