Rahul Gandhi’s chopper develops snag

As the engine of the helicoptor was switched on,some noise was heard emanating from the rotor.

The helicoptor,which was to carry AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi to Saharsa and Samastipur in Bihar,today developed a technical snag before taking off from the airbase here,delaying his arrival by over an hour at the two places where he was to address rallies.

On his arrival at the airbase here from New Delhi by a chartered plane,Gandhi boarded the private chopper to fly to the two places this afternoon,a senior official said.

As the engine of the helicoptor was switched on,some noise was heard emanating from the rotor,the official,who was present at the airbase,said.

Gandhi disembarked on the pilot’s request and an IAF helicoptor was arranged for him to go to Saharsa,where he was scheduled to address a party rally.
