Demanding immediate ban on Raj Thackeray-led MNS,Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday alleged that their “misdeeds” benefitted Congress.

“Misdeeds of MNS are benefitting the Congress. Raj Thackeray’s sena should be banned immediately,” Kumar told reporters after attending a function here. Calling for immediate intervention by the Centre, the chief minister said,”It is now high time to punish MNS and its chief for being bent upon breaking the country’s unity and integrity.”

“The MNS leader indulged in anti-national activities by making uncharitable comments against north Indians or Biharis in the past, creating serious law and order problem in Maharashtra,” he said.

He and MNS MLAs chose to attack country’s national language Hindi which was evident from yesterday’s incident in Maharashtra assembly when MNS legislators assaulted Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Asim Azmi for taking oath in Hindi in defiance of Raj Thackeray’s diktat,he said.

Stating that mere suspension of MNS legislators was insufficient,Kumar said those legislators should be disqualified and severe legal action be taken against them.
