Kanpur: Four labourers die in building collapse

Owned by SP leader Mehtab Alam, the building is reportedly being built for residential and commercial purposes. Following the accident, an adjacent building also collapsed, crashing a couple of empty vehicles parked there.

Kanpur IG Zaki Ahmed said, “Four deaths have been confirmed and the seriously injured are being treated at Kashiram Trauma Centre. officials said preliminary reports indicated that substandard construction materials were used and the structure buckled under its own weight.
