MONTREAL, JAN 15: Canadian Olympic gold medalist Myriam Bedard gave WM Wrigley Jr Co something to chew on Friday, announcing she was suing it for $ 500,000.
Bedard, 30, alleged Wrigley, one of the world’s largest makers of chewing gum, used her image without her consent in an advertising campaign. She is a sports hero in Canada after winning two gold medals in the women’s biathlon at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.
