Spider rape?
SYDNEY An Australian man who kidnapped and raped a woman blamed his actions on a spider. Philip Spiers pleaded guilty to the kidnap and rape, but told a court that the poison from a funnel-web spider bite had left him with a viral illness which led to his actions. But a toxicologist told the court there was no medical evidence to suggest a spider bite could be responsible for anger and hatred. Spiers was sentenced to eight years in jail.

Lovers brought down to earth
Singapore Singapore Airlines, the first operator of the new Airbus A380, has dashed the hopes of sexual thrill-seekers planning to engage in amorous activity aboard the world8217;s biggest jumbo jet.
The carrier said it would ask passengers on the A380 to refrain from sex while ensconced in one of its 12 first-class suites, which boast the world8217;s first airborne double beds.
8220;All we ask of customers is to observe standards that don8217;t cause offence to other customers and crew,8221; the company said in a statement.
While private, the double cabins are neither sound proofed nor completely sealed. 8220;So they8217;ll sell you a double bed, and give you privacy and endless champagne and then say you can8217;t do what comes naturally?8221; Tony Elwood, who travelled with wife Julie in a suite aboard the inaugural flight, told the Times of London.

World8217;s best bottoms
Munich Two people have won the hotly-contested title of the 8220;world8217;s most beautiful bottom8221;. Nineteen year-old Kristina Dimitrova from Bulgaria and Andrei Andrei aged 24 from Romania, won the women8217;s and men8217;s categories in the world8217;s best bum contest, organised by the underwear maker Sloggi. Candidates from 28 countries battled it out at the final to convince the jury of the quality of their behind.
