Jodhpur king8217;s Rolls fetches 1,63,000

LONDON: A vintage Rolls Royce formerly owned by an Indian maharajah to shoot tigers has been sold at an auction for 100,000 pounds 1,63,000 dollars. The luxury silver ghost, which was bought by the Maharajah of Jodhpur in 1921, still retains the original lamp used to illuminate the jungle on night time safaris. It was snapped up yesterday at the Rolls-Royce enthusiasts8217; club annual rally at Cottesbrooke Hall, central England. A spokesman for auctioneers Sotheby8217;s said 8220;the car was bought by a private collector8221; who would not be named.

Pill for women

LONDON: The drug company which produced the male sex pill Viagra is now hoping to repeat its success with a similar one for women, the Sunday Times reported. It said yesterday that multinational Pfizer is one of the three big drug companies racing to market the first 8220;orgasm pill8221; for women. The paper reported that initial results from secret clinical trials commissioned by Pfizer in Britain suggestthe treatment is effective. Pfizer is said to be investigating three different formulations of sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, in trials among more than 500 women across Europe.
