BONN: German coach Berti Vogts, under pressure to include Lothar Matthaeus in his World Cup squad, has promised he will contact the veteran libero.

Matthaeus, 37, earned the last of his record 122 caps for Germany in December 1994 and captained his country to victory in the 1990 World Cup.
Saudis pip Trinidad and Tobago
