Former PM H D Deve Gowda on Sunday made it clear that he would continue to fight both the Congress and the BJP by keeping them at “equidistance”.
“There is no change in my earlier decision and I would continue to fight against the Congress and BJP, with whom I have maintained equidistance since 1999,” he told reporters, ruling out any plans to join the BJP-led NDA. “How can you ask me such questions? Did I ever go back on my political ideology?” he said explaining the circumstances that forced him to realign with the BJP.
