WIFA League from July 9

MUMBAI, JUNE 26: Gulf Oil India Ltd, which has been sponsoring the Super, Senior and First Divisions for the last two years, will continue their association for another year as per the contract with the Western India Football Association WIFA.

The league, which was primarily slated to start from July 1, will now start from July 9 when Mahindras play Maharashtra State Police. The format of Super Division has been changed this year. All the 10 teams, along with two promoted sides from Senior Division, will play a single-leg league which will decide the top five.These will then play another leg to decide the league champion while the last five will battle to survive relegation.
