Widow gets NR job

Renu Pundeer, the widow of Sudheer Kumar Pundeer, the IRCON engineer who was killed along with his brother while working on the J-K railway project, was appointed as welfare inspector in Northern Railway on compassionate grounds. Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav handed her the appointment letter on Thursday. Yadav said Renu has demanded a CBI inquiry as she suspected that her husband was not a victim of militancy in the state but of corrupt contractors. Laloo said that he had instructed Chairman Railway Board R.K. Singh to see if a CBI inquiry was required.
