One can balance a delicately ruffled dress with a substantial wide belt,8221; says Lalwani. 8220;As dresses are the indispensable fashion wear this season, take your pick and accentuate your middle with a stunning wide belt to make heads turn. But make sure you choose the right size according to your figure,8221; she advises.

8220;Belts provide a uniform finish to your body as it makes the torso appear in line with broad shoulders. If your upper torso is relatively slimmer than the lower, a thin or broad belt worn on the empire line with flared tops, tunics and dresses can do wonders,8221; says fashion designer and stylist, Kush Agarwal of KushAgarwal, of LavKush Boutique in Camp.

8220;The belt is like a finishing accessory to any outfit. When empire belts are clinched to elegant evening gowns or a chic short tunics, they add just the right feminine touch to the attires,8221; says Agarwal.
