MUMBAI, June 11: Arun Wakhlu, director, Pragati Learning System Pvt Ltd in Aundh, a group which conducts human resource training programmes, is a firm believer of 8220;God8217;s in his Heaven and all8217;s right with the world.8221;
His compliance to the Osho philosophy has actually bestowed him with the ability to view every event with equanimity. 8220;Nothing really goes wrong, because everything is a blessing, an opportunity to learn and be centred,8221; he says. By being centred8217; he means strengthening the spiritual or inner self.
Citing an example, when his car suffered a breakdown in Valvan near Lonavla, he recounts, 8220;You know, because of the breakdown, I had time on my hands. So I wrote letters to my mother and brothers.8221; Something which had reached the bottom of his things-to-do8217; list.
Sitting in the serene surroundings, he further got a glimpse of village life and 8220;I saw the village women come to fill water, walking so gracefully,8221; he relates laughing.
Another time, another day, when he was stuck in a traffic jam in Panchgani, he got to relish the delicious karvand fruit, which he had not tasted before. 8220;I am really grateful for everything. Whatever happens, happens for the best. One shouldn8217;t get upset over every little thing,8221; he says in full faith. Wakhlu feels one should have an attitude of gratitude,8217; the prasadam bhavana, so to speak.
8220;Whenever I have a so-called bad day, my daughter tells me 8211; don8217;t call it a bad day, call it a character-building8217; day, 8221; says Wakhlu and what8217;s more, he puts this philosophical weltanschauung into practice and is the happier for it. It8217;s the right way to evolve, in Wakhlu8217;s opinion, and everyone except the alarmists, who revel in pressing the panic button at the least pretext, will agree with him.
