Its the ultimate in functional design. The zipper dress can be super-adjusted to turn into anything you want. Zip it up or zip it down into a little black dress,a tube top,a cute mini or voila,even a belt. UK-based designer Sebastian Errazuriz was one of the first to come up with this idea. His The Zipper dress has 120 separate zips that can morph the outfit into anything wearable. Closer home,the winter collection of designer duo Alpana and Neeraj cranks out a series of short dresses in tantalising aqua marine colours embellished with zippers. The creations,lauded by front-row A-listers at the Delhi Fashion week,are experimental,comfortable and much in demand by the young, says Alpana Mittal. So,zip it up into a party dress or unzip it into a belt and team it with pants to wear to work!
