Tony Blairs burnt toast triggers fire alert London: Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair sparked a fire alert when he tried to cook breakfast at his country home,sending four fire engines racing to the scene,his spokesman said. Blair and his wife Cherie were toasting bread on Saturday at their 17th-century property in southeast England,when the smoke alarm went off. It was just smoke without a fire but by the time Mrs Blair rang the fire service to tell them they didnt need to come,they were already on their way, said Blairs spokesperson. It was basically some burnt toast that had set the alarm off, said a spokesman for the fire service.
