Will follow Gujarat development model

NDAs prime ministerial candidate L K Advani on Friday promised people good governance,development,and security in lieu of their votes. In his 40-minute speech,kick-starting election campaign here,Advani talked about e-governance,Golden Quadrilateral,Afzal Guru,global meltdown leading to unemployment and also criticised the UPA Government.

Addressing the concerns of the minority community,he compared the per capita income of Muslims in West Bengal with that in Gujarat. The per capita income of Muslims in Gujarat was higher than those in West Bengal. In Gujarat,the roads are good,theres electricity available round the clock. When we get an opportunity to form the government,we will follow the Gujarat model to develop all the states, he said.

He said the UPA Government,led by Dr Manmohan Singh,was incapable of taking decisions. I do

not blame Manmohan Singh for this. Without

Sonia Gandhis consent,nothing moves in this Government, Advani said.
