The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended by a month the visas of a group of Pakistani Hindus who are currently staying here and have sought political asylum. The month-long visas of about 480 Pakistani Hindus, who entered India through the Rajasthan border for attending the Mahakumbh, expired on April 8 and their travel documents have been extended by a month, said a MHA official. After receiving their applications, the Delhi government sought the Home Ministrys direction on how to handle the situation. We will consider their applications sympathetically. Since it takes time to take any decision on their appeals,we have extended their visas for a month, said the MHA official.
