(Image: Canva Pro) World’s Best Cities 2025-26 list: In the midst of significant geopolitical shifts and a global transformative era, Resonance Consultancy, an advisor in real estate, tourism, and economic development, and its research partner, Ipsos, have revealed the World’s Best Cities for 2026, ranking 100 cities worldwide.
London retains its overall No. 1 position as the best city globally for the 11th consecutive year, primarily leading in ranking across three pillars: liveability at No. 3, lovability at No. 2, and prosperity at No. 1.
New York City, described as the “perpetual heartbeat” of America in the report, overtook Paris (which now ranks at No. 3) to stand at No. 2 in the overall rankings.
While European cities largely dominate the top 10 rankings, two Asian cities and the sole entry from the Middle East—Tokyo at No. 4, Singapore at No. 6, and Dubai at No. 8—make a notable mark, highlighting the growing influence and appeal of urban environments beyond traditional Western hubs.
Overall, the United States tops the list with 19 cities in the Top 100, followed by Germany with eight and China with seven.

The country’s tech powerhouse, Bengaluru, often called the ‘Silicon Valley of India’, ranked at No. 29.
It is followed by Mumbai, the financial capital, at No. 40; Delhi, the national capital, at No. 54; and Hyderabad at No. 82.
