Although legendary filmmaker Kamal Amrohi8217;s eldest son Shandar calls actress Preity Zinta his 8216;daughter8217;,the actress says no one has adopted her and threatened to take legal action against those writing stories in this regard.8221;For the final time,I would like to say that NO ONE HAS ADOPTED ME OR WRITTEN A WILL 4 ME. I helped Mr Shandar Amrohi in his time of need. He is a very nice man but NO ONE can EVER take the place of my father in my life. I am not off the street that I need someone else8217;s wealth sic,8221; Priety said on the micro-blogging site Twitter.The legendary filmmaker8217;s three children sons Shandar,Tazdar and daughter Rukhsar have been locked in a fierce property battle.
Rajinikanth to be flown to Singapore
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth,who has hospitalised in Chennai for four weeks for respiratory infection,was flown to Singapore for 8220;rejuvenation and better health care,8221; his family said. Rajinikanth8217;s wife,Latha,said that his organs were 8220;normal8221; and pleaded that his health 8220;not be sensationalised.8221;8221;We are going to Singapore for his rejuvenation,better health- care and privacy,8221; said Latha,who has been with the 61-year-old star at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre since he was admitted there on May 13.She also said there was no need for the fans to panic and insisted that the Singapore trip has nothing to 8220;undermine Indian doctors.8221; Rajinikanth8217;s daughter Aishwarya said that the actor will be travelling to Singapore like 8220;any other normal passenger as his vitals are stable.8221;
Bipasha8217;s escapade at Mumbai customs
A huge shopping bag being carried by actor Bipasha Basu through the green channel at the Mumbai airport caught the eye of customs inspector Sameer Wankhede. The actress,who was returning from London from the shooting of her film Players,was stopped for a check and she immediately cooperated when asked to empty her shopping-bags. Bipasha,who had to wait for an hour during the search,was let off after she paid a fine of Rs 12,000 for the branded bags,cosmetics and glares that she had purchased in London.
Leopard strays into Hema Malini8217;s bungalow
A leopard strayed into actress-MP Hema Malini8217;s bungalow in Mumbai8217;s Malad area last week and left hours later,forest officials said.The veteran film star was not present at the bungalow when the big cat,probably from the adjoining Sanjay Gandhi National Park,made a 8220;stopover8221; at her residence,the officials said.The house caretaker first noticed the leopard on the bungalow lawns and alerted local police and Park officials,who sent a team with a cage and also tranquilisers in an effort to trap it. However,their search proved futile as the leopard left the premises.The Park,spread over around 100 square kms in northwest Mumbai,has a sizable population of leopards and some of them often stray into adjoining residential areas.
