Indian Railways new time table 2026, Trains at a Glance 2026 Released: The Ministry of Railways has released Trains at a Glance 2026, the official timetable of Indian Railways. This marks the 46th edition of the annual publication. Besides giving detailed information on routes and timings of important passenger trains including premium trains, the new time table also provides important details such as reservation procedures, rules and regulation of travelling, passenger amenities on trains and in stations including catering, menu types and rates, and rail-based tourism.
The national transporter has increased the speed of 549 trains in the latest timetable. Of the 549 trains whose speeds have been enhanced, the highest number – 117 trainsoriginate from South Western Railway (SWR). This is followed by North Western Railway (NWR) with 89 trains, Western Railway (WR) with 80 trains, Southern Railway (SR) with 75 trains, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) with 36 trains, Eastern Railway (ER) with 32 trains, Central Railway (CR) with 30 trains and West Central Railway (WCR) with 27 trains.

Indian Railways new trains introduced
In addition, it has introduced 122 new trains, extended 86 train services, enhanced the frequency of eight trains and upgraded 10 Mail/Express services to Superfast categories in Trains at a Glance 2026.
Of the 122 new trains announced, 26 are Amrit Bharat services, 60 Mail/Express trains, two each of Humsafar, Jan Shatabdi, Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and Rajdhani Express, while 28 services belong to the Vande Bharat Express category.
