Telangana panel next week,JAC unimpressed

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday said the Committee to examine the demand for a separate Telangana will be announced next week. We are almost at the end of concluding that exercise. If all goes well,we should have a committee by the end of this week. We will announce the committee by next week, Chidambaram said. Without divulging who all could be a part of the committee,the Home Minister said the names would have been finalised by the end of this week. In Hyderabad,the Joint Action Committee of political parties on Telangana reacted sharply to Chidambarams statement saying,nothing concrete has been said. Nothing short of a clear time frame will satisfy us. People of Telangana want a clear time frame for the formation of Telangana state, said JAC convener Prof Kodandaram.
