TeamLease partners K’taka Govt for job exchange

TeamLease Services has joined hands with the Government of Karnataka to create the Karnataka Employment Center.

TeamLease Services has joined hands with the Government of Karnataka to create the Karnataka Employment Center (KEC),the country’s first employment exchange based on a public-private partnership.

The KEC will deliver the full range of services covering Registration,Assessment,Counseling,Training,Certification and Placement to ensure successful access to the job market for the youth of Karnataka.

The nodal partner agencies on the government side for this initiative are the Department of Employment & Training and Karnataka Vocational Training & Skills Development Corporation (KVTSDC).

Backed by TeamLease’s experience and management,KEC is aimed at transforming the capabilities and focus of traditional employment exchanges in Karnataka,while expanding the target public groups serviced. It is expected to train and place over 2000 candidates in the initial 12 months,with the capability to be expanded over time.

For the first time,KEC will ensure sound focus on the employability aspect as well,along with employment. With the recent acquisition of the Indian Institute of Job Training (IIJT),India’s fastest growing vocational training companies,by TeamLease,KEC will ensure structured entry and exit gate assessments for the candidates,with relevant vocational training programs.

While the training will help bridge skills gaps and make the candidates job ready,the accompanying certification will ensure their credibility in the job market. With strong enablement through information technology,KEC will leverage the industry connects of TeamLease to ensure successful access to available jobs across the country for the youth of Karnataka spanning over 1200 companies.
