Gujarat forest officer arrested for murders of wife, two children; ‘burying’ bodies outside his quarters in Bhavnagar
The investigation into this case had begun with ACF Sailesh Bachu Khambhla himself filing a missing persons report about his family.
Sailesh Bachu Khambhla. The Bhavnagar Police on Monday arrested an Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) for allegedly murdering his wife and two minor children, and allegedly burying them just outside the forest officer’s quarters.
Bhavnagar SP Nitesh Pandey, in a press conference on Monday morning, confirmed the arrest of ACF Sailesh Bachu Khambhla in the case of the murders of his wife Nayana (42), 13-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son, from their home in Surat.
SP Pandey said, “The accused had confessed to having killed his wife first, then son and then daughter by putting a pillow over their faces on November 5. He then put stones on the bodies and put them in six-feet holes filled with water. He also put a door and a blanket over them and then had the holes filled over with sand.”
