Six booked for killing of Bihar whistleblower

Bihar police Sunday lodged a murder case against six people for the murder of MNREGA Watch activist Ram Kumar Thakur at Maniari Saturday evening. Thakur was the main witness in a vigilance case against Ratnauli panchayat mukhiya Rajkumar Sahni.

The police lodged the case against mukhiya Sahni,his sons Parmanand,Rajesh and Brahmanand and nephews Mahesh and Sukhdev. No one has been arrested so far.

The police also suspended its Maniari station in-charge Shafiq Alam for dereliction of duty and assured arrest of all the accused by April 4.
