Silver prices fall on lower global trend

Silver declined 0.5 per cent to USD 30.29 an ounce in the Asian region.

Silver prices drifted by Rs 191 to Rs 58,782 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded their positions,tracking a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange,silver for delivery in December fell by Rs 191,or 0.32 per cent,to Rs 58,782 per kg,with a business turnover of 4,220 lots.

Similarly,the white metal for delivery in September moved down by Rs 173,or 0.30 per cent,to Rs 56,780 per kg,with an open interest of 6,034 lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall in silver futures to a weakglobal trend.

Meanwhile,silver declined 0.5 per cent to USD 30.29 an ounce in the Asian region.
