Silver prices moved up by Rs 160 to Rs 65,596 per kg in futures trading on Wednesday on increased buying by speculators on higher global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange,silver for delivery in March rose by Rs 160,or 0.24 per cent,to Rs 65,696 per kg,with a business turnover of 251 lots.
Likewise,the white metal for December traded higher by Rs 139,or 0.22 per cent,to Rs 63,943 per kg,with a business turnover of 9,881 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in silver futures to higher global trend.
Meanwhile,silver rose 0.6 per cent to $33.69 an ounce in Singapore.
