Scolded for stealing money for phone,12-yr-old kills self

Scolded by his father for stealing Rs 500 to buy a mobile phone,a 12-year-old boy immolated himself in Siwan. The boy,who suffered serious burn injuries,died while being taken to hospital. Police said the incident took place at Pasivarh village under Darunda police station. Police said the boy was a class V student. Siwan SP Satyaveer Singh confirmed the incident and said the boy doused himself in kerosene after locking his room and then set himself on fire. A case of unnatural death has been registered. No suicide note was found.
