Rain may play spoilsport in the intricately planned and choreographed royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday. Tom Morgan,a spokesman for the Met Office,said that in the London area there will be fairly cloudy skies with occasional brighter spells,but also a risk of showery rain at times.

New flags went up,cleaning crews scrubbed down,police checked for explosives and two die-hard fans were already camping out at Westminster Abbey. The police plan to deploy around 5,000 officers to police the royal wedding procession. They promised to crackdown robustly on anyone trying to disrupt Fridays wedding.

Kate Middleton has treated herself to some last-minute pampering with an 82 135 facial. Kate,29,was preened and prodded at the boutique Retreat beauty salon where she is believed to have had the Oxygen Therapy facial to make her skin glow on her big day. The princess-to-be,who has admitted to feeling jittery,spent an hour with sister and chief bridesmaid Pippa,27,at the salon in Newbury,Berkshire,a 20-minute drive from their parents home in Bucklebury.
