Model Lisa Haydon, who made her big screen debut with Aisha, will now host Rock On,a reality show on MTV.

Tell us about the new show Rock On that you are hosting on MTV.
Rock On is a reality show that hunts down the best rock bands in India. I think in this country, there is less scope for this genre and Rock On gives a platform to music enthusiasts. Rahul Ram of the Indian Ocean band and music composer Pritam are the judges. They have travelled various parts of India and have selected the top bands to be on the show. I was shocked to seea the talent of these bands especially from places like Bihar and Nagaland. Its fun seeing them perform,I think every one should watch them do their excellent musical gig,the show airs every Saturday at 7 pm.

So is this the first time we will see you as a host on TV?
Of course not. I have hosted a show earlier called Babelicious on Zee Trendz.

These days TV show hosts are sticking to Hindi for interaction, how do you manage?
I tend to talk in Hinglish but in first episode I spoke in Hindi. I try talking in Hindi and if I go wrong,my co-host Ayushmann corrects me.

Modelling,acting,hosting8230;. what next?
Laughs Well,I dont know, but I am keeping my doors open. Media is a vast field and I am trying my hand at whatever is coming my way. I enjoy being creative.

So what do you enjoy the most? Acting, hosting or modelling?
Hosting is fun. You get to be who you are in your real life. In acting, you need to go through the script and stick to it,it can be tough at times. But I love modelling and will continue to do it.

So are you enjoying working on the small screen?
Yes,but TV as a full-time career would be a complete no no. As a host I dont have to invest much time. So I get a lot of spare time to take up other stuff. I am happy to be a host but I am not open to acting in daily soaps.

What about being a contestant on Bigg Boss or a dance reality show?
This field has a lot of opportunities and I dont want to distract myself. There are many actors who forget their motto and get carried away. I would have loved to be a participant on a dance reality show four-five years ago. I love dancing though! Maybe I will dance on an award show or an event. But for now,I want to do full-time acting in movies. Talking about Bigg Boss,it is fun to watch but I would never want to be a participant in that show.

Tell us about your favourite band. Also,do you play any musical instrument?
My favourite band is Coldplay. Yes,I play the guitar. I started learning the instrument since I was 13-14 years old. Then,I had quit playing it but now recently I have started practising again.

Tell us about your favourite hosts…
I love Cat Deeley. I like the way she hosts So You Think You Can Dance. She is so good at presentation and is very real rather than being politically correct. Back in India,I love Ayushmanns work too. He is super talented. Apart from him,I love Barkha Dutt as a news anchor.

You have been living in the US and Australia and now you are in India, how are you finding it here?
India is my home. I am half Indian as my father is a Malayali and my mother is Australian. India has given me a lot of opportunities. Here, people are strong, creative, innovative and this has opened a lot of doors for me. I was doing modelling in Australia but did not put in much effort. This country has given a lot to me and so its my duty to give something back!
