Ramdev urged Modi to abolish all direct and indirect taxes to stem corruption and black money.

A day before he is to share the stage with Narendra Modi at a function in Talkatora Stadium, yoga guru Ramdev Saturday urged the BJP prime ministerial candidate to abolish all direct and indirect taxes to stem corruption and black money.

“On behalf of 125 crore countrymen,we appeal to you to declare economic independence by abolishing all 32 types of direct and indirect taxes; only a 2% banking transaction tax will be charged. This will not only put an end to all financial travails of the country but also bring an economic revolution. All goods will become cheaper by 30-50%,” Ramdev said, adding that it would also reduce prices of petrol, diesel and LPG.
