PSO carries chappals,Orissa CM under fire

After a Madhya Pradesh minister had to apologise over a tribal boy helping him wear his shoes,Orissa CM Naveen Patnaik Friday found himself in a spot with a local TV channel showing one of his two personal security officers moving his footwear during the Republic Day function at Bhubaneswar.

Patnaik had taken off his chappals to climb onto the dais to unfurl the flag,and the PSO,Chandra Sekhar Patra,an assistant commandant,carried them to the other side. It was not clear if the CM knew about this.

Senior BJP leader Suresh Pujari said,The police officer is not a servant8230;. By doing this he has done injustice to his uniform.
